About his art:
Patricia Soriano (painter):
“The pictures of Christian Santana are graphic assortments, which
refer us to a sensitive and physiological direction with much
sensitivity. In its large pictures the autobiographic obsession in the
metamorphosis of the flesh is expressed. His pictures express the
extreme detail of a certain field. The colors tell of an individuality
with strong expresionism by fantasy in relationship with the flesh; the
auto-biographic meat.”
Fernando Islas: “Santana interprets the clinical body, in the
self-portrait “CLOSE UP” or in aesthetic motion, which is
connected in the picture or also in the film; the German Expresionist
and underground caricaturist. In other words, Christian Santana
provides a kind of universe where the flesh, the 'gestual' picture and
the physiological way the aspects which revive the picture.”
